Love Forward: Ep 21

Drama ReviewsTaiwanese Dramas

This episode was all over the place, but you can tell things are beginning to wind down as we prepare for the…LAST EPISODE??  *waits a second for that to sink in and boggle your mind*  Just go with it, everyone.  Just go with it.  Anyway, finally Jing Jing is redeeming herself, so that’s a step forward.  However massive awkwardness ensues between Jing Jing/Tian Ze/Ai Xing now that Tian Ze has uncovered the truth.

Love Forward: Ep 20

Drama ReviewsTaiwanese Dramas

I’m really tempted to put an Ai Xing x Tian Ze cap as the featured image but…I just HAVE to express my frustration through Ling Li’s facepalm. HAHAHA.  That being said, this episode has a lot of sweet scenes with Ai Xing & Tian Ze, plus a huge breakthrough in Ai Xing & Jing Jing’s relationship.

Love Forward: Ep 19

This has got to be my favorite episode.  It even tops episode 18.  AND THE PREVIEW FOR EP20 IS AWESOME.  TIAN ZE x AI XING SHIPPERS!!!!!!!!  OUR LONG WAIT IS FINALLY PAYING OFF.  I dare say that the misleading posters and opening/closing MV’s DON’T MATTER.  TIAN ZE AND AI XING ARE MEANT TO BE TOGETHER.  THIS IS NOT JUST ME IN DENIAL.  EVEN THE DRAMA IS SHIPPING THEM.

Love Forward: Ep 18

Drama ReviewsTaiwanese Dramas

YUP, the Love Forward I’ve missed so dearly IS BACK.  Finally it brings back the humor and family warmth and shippy OTP scenes that I’ve been craving for!!  Although this post is really late, this episode was definitely a great comeback.  Love Forward has been lagging for a long time, but ep18 felt like a breath of fresh air.

Love Forward: Ep 17

Drama ReviewsTaiwanese Dramas

Episode 17 felt more like a filler episode because there were way more unnecessary scenes than usual.  Maybe it’s supposed to be some sort of turning point for Tian Ze because he finally gets a fresh start, but I’m not really feeling it.  On the other hand, for those who have been waiting for Ren Wei’s redeeming moment, THIS IS IT.  HE FINALLY TURNS A NEW LEAF AND CHANGES.  I LOVE REN WEI!!!

Love Forward: Ep 16

Drama ReviewsTaiwanese Dramas

As always, this episode had SEVERAL face palm moments…guess which scenes?  Right, the Jing Jing & Tian Ze ones.  UGHHHHHHHH.  Unfortunately I’ve become anti-Jing Jing because I just cannot take her “sacrifice” anymore.  Tian Ze, poor guy, is still love blind and clinging onto a tiny sliver of hope that SHOULD NOT EXIST at this point in the drama.  TIAN ZE x AI XING WILL PREVAIL.  I REFUSE TO GIVE UP.

Love Forward: Ep 15

Drama ReviewsTaiwanese Dramas

This episode felt all over the place, which is pretty normal for Love Forward nowadays.  There were some great scenes with humor and fun dialogue, and then there were those other scenes that just did not work.  I mainly enjoyed this episode because of the many Ling Li scenes, which are always great!  I love seeing her friendship with Ai Xing!

Love Forward: Ep 14

Drama ReviewsTaiwanese Dramas

Although Love Forward is still moving slowly, this episode especially had a lot of scenes that had me flailing TO NO END.  I’m pretty sure it’s concrete that Ai Xing & Tian Ze are gonna be together after this episode.  There’s no way it’s not gonna happen after all the hints they dropped.

What’s New?

-Quartet ep4: Seems like the drama is focusing on one character's story in each episode. Now that we've gotten to see each main character's background story, I wonder what direction the drama will take. Each episode leaves me still impressed with each lead actor...seriously. Matsuda Ryuhei is 100% Beppu here. I even forget that Beppu is acted by Matsuda Ryuhei when watching his character!

-Kamenashi Kazuya, Kimura Fumino, and Yamashita Tomohisa will be starring in an upcoming spring jdrama called Boku, Unmei no Hito desu. Kamenashi and Yamashita are reuniting again, after their popular roles in the high school drama Nobuta wo Produce.

-EVERYONE. I highly recommend watching the Taiwanese romance movie Our Times, starring Vivian Sung, Dino Lee, and Darren Wang. It is TOOOOO GOOD. It's your usual high school-first-love-story but it does it SO WELL. GOOO WATCH IT.

-On an indefinite hiatus.
