I don’t know how but LZH has gotten even more intense. The tables are turning as the empress & Ling Rong finally enter the power struggle of the harem, Mei Zhuang’s name is finally cleared, and Zhen Huan finds herself more and more unsure of the emperor’s love.
(*Updated*: Watched with subs, so I have a much better understanding of what went on now, haha) It’s been a while since I’ve last posted about Zhen Huan! For those of you who are asking where to watch it, please realize I’m just watching the raws. The subs are being released very slowly so I go back to watch the subbed version later on.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted about Zhen Huan (and it’s only my second post on it) but you can be sure it is one of my top dramas right now. Even without the subs I watched ahead because this drama is just too gorgeous to not watch. Even though this is set in the Qing Dynasty, you can still empathize with the characters.
The Legend of Concubine Zhen Huan rivals Bu Bu Jing Xin in quality. This drama takes place in the Qing Dynasty, during Emperor Yong Zheng’s reign, so of course people will obviously compare it to BBJX at first. The thing with BBJX is that although it had high quality costumes and sets, there was still a very glossy, polished feel to it. While it looked more realistic in contrast to other period c-dramas that didn’t pay so much attention to detail, it still felt pretty surreal.
-My blog is officially on hiatus. There's much more I wish to write about but right now, I don't have the time! Thanks everyone for continually supporting my blog. :)
