All this while, I’ve been trying to figure out whether Osozaki no Himawari is a good, above average, or great drama. Although I have enjoyed the previous episodes overall, I was sorta stuck between the good/above average view of Osozaki. Only in eps 6-7 are my feelings of “I LOVE OSOZAKI NO HIMAWARI” confirmed. I absolutely love it because of all its beautifully written and portrayed characters.
If you watched the first couple episodes and was sorta interested, but not fully invested yet, I’d advise you to watch the next few episodes. Episodes 1-2 were enjoyable for me, but I also admit they were kinda slow because of all the character set-up. Starting from ep3, Osozaki no Himawari picks up it space and seems to have really found its niche.
It has been forever since I last posted (about a drama) because I am in a horrible drama SLUMP. But thankfully there is at least one jdrama that I am now looking forward to more and more–Osozaki no Himawari, with IKUTA TOMA. It is a great slice-of-life/human drama focusing on the significance of human relations in a small rural city. It also tells the story of how the main characters find ways to make the ‘flowers bloom in their lives,’ hence the title “Late Blooming Sunflower –My life renewed-“.
I’m getting more and more impatient for the new fall jdrama season to start!! You might recall that I posted an initial “anticipated jdramas: Fall 2012” a while back. I figured I might as well post a new one containing video previews instead of adding them into the first post so you all wouldn’t miss them! The previews have only made me more excited!
Sounds like Japan is finally stepping up its game with the upcoming fall season. There are plenty of upcoming jdramas with interesting synopses and big name casts. I have my fingers crossed for a strong season, especially since this last summer season has been so disappointing.
Honey and Clover is pure awesomeness. I love the anime. I love the manga. I love the drama. It’s one of my all-time favorites…to the point that I literally watched the drama like 5 times. I’m not even kidding. So, I decided to recap this drama since it’s a favorite of mine.
-There are plenty of upcoming period c-dramas to keep an eye out for. Check them out here. Includes Lost Time In Love, Win the World, Nirvana in Fire 2, and more.
-I finally checked out the ancient fantasy cdrama, Three Worlds Three Lives Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, also known as Eternal Love. Read my first impressions review of episodes 1-7 here and my review of episodes 8-13 here.
-On an indefinite hiatus.
