Surprisingly 2011 offered my two most favorite c-dramas ever. Tw-dramas stepped it up, but CHINA. OMG. China really hit it big with Bu Bu Jing Xin AND Strange Hero Yi Zhi Mei..BOTH with Liu Shi Shi as the leading lady. Liu Shi Shi really hit the jackpot. Unfortunately I don’t have tons of c-dramas to review..since…I only watched a few. The problem is that c-dramas are hard to find subbed so I can’t watch as many as I’d like to.
Taiwanese dramas really made a comeback this year. Suddenly there was a tw-drama craze with the return of Mike He, Rainie Yang, AND Ariel Lin. It’s a great start for an improvement in quality and plot in tw-dramas. While I can’t say they were perfect, what really drew most people in was their cuteness and heart.
I kept on telling myself I wouldn’t do a end-of-the-year review, but I finally gave in and I just had to write one! These are the dramas that stood out the most (be it in a bad or a good way) to me from each season. Unfortunately this year was a rather boring one for jdramas. Thankfully there were a few great jdramas that went quietly unnoticed, but greatly appreciated by drama lovers.
-It took me a really long time, but I'm finally done with my end of the year 2016 dramas review! Check it out here. It includes Good Morning Call, Juhan Shuttai, Princess Weiyoung, Imperial Doctress, and so much more! Happy New Year!
