We last got to see some glimpses of the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin sequel in December 2013, when the short 30-second teaser was released.  A few months later, the full 1-minute trailer has finally been released!  All I can say is that it is epic just as I expected it to be! 😀  It’s also great that it is subbed in several different languages for all the international fans–including English, Chinese, French, Spanish, and Korean.  😉

  • YAAAAAAAAAAY

Although I do have a question- didn’t a trilogy get mentioned, or is “the legend ends” just a misleading title? This is one rare occasion when I want MORE MORE MORE. Also YAAAAAY

I will say, though, that I’m a bit disappointed that we don’t see Kaoru fighting more. That’s one of her cool points in the manga (I know, I know, I haven’t watched the anime yet). I guess you don’t have as much time to detract from the main character when you’re working in shorter movie chunks.

    • It is a trilogy. 😉 Hmm I also think maybe there are less action scenes for Kaoru due to time restraints. Also the more ‘flashy’ action scenes would be with Kenshin fighting so.. >_>

  • Yeah that looks wicked. I was very very surprised by the quality of the first one. Being a fan of the anime (especially the OVAs) I was expecting the live action to really pale in comparison, but it holds its own quite well. I mean yeah, it’s no 13 Samurai, but it’s still really well done especially for manga/anime adaptation.

  • Tatsuya Fujiwara as Makoto Shishio. Am I the only one who think that he suits better as Soujiro Seta considering his baby face?

Can’t wait for it though. Kenshin battle against Juppngatana is my favorite of the story

  • I am super thrilled for this one! I actually wasn’t sure if they would be able to collect the cast together for a 2nd installment but I am happy they pulled it off. The first movie was surprisingly good – I read the manga before and expected less – so I am looking forward to the 2nd one and hope I will be able to watch it on the big screen in Japan.

  • I’ve been remiss in visiting and as soon as I come, I’m yelling like a squeeing fangirl “Kenshiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!!!!!!!”

LOL. How did I miss this post and that the trailer was released? Thanks to fixing some older posts from the host move (still not complete, but getting there), I feel completely caught up on where we are in the storyline thanks to my friend nichan’s awesome commentary on the anime series leading up to the end of the Kyoto arc where Kenshin faces Shishio. I am soooooo looking forward to this movie. I can’t wait!

    • Trust me, we are all having the same reaction, LOL. And wow the host move is taking a really long time! Are you going to have a new blog theme on the new site as well?

      • The posts were easy to migrate. It’s migrating the pictures. For some reason at the end of 2012 beginning of 2013, I started putting pics back into the site instead of hosting them elsewhere, so that’s taking the most work. 😛 I’ve been trying to get all the posts and pics restored before getting the rest of pages restored. I have no idea about a new theme. I’m okay with this one for the moment.

Blogging takes hours, commenting takes minutes. Thanks for your comment.
