Update: My Drama Tea is 1 year old!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to update you all!  Actually My Drama Tea turned a year old a bit earlier this month (I actually don’t know the exact date HAHAHA but I know it was at least a couple weeks ago) but I never got around to writing a post about it.

First off, thanks to all of my frequent readers throughout this year!  Sometimes it’s hard to get motivated when you think no one is even reading your posts.  Eventually I went from having only a few pageviews per day (literally, I’m not even kidding) to hundreds of pageviews per day.  As cheesy as it sounds, it’s all because of you guys. 😉  I always love reading your comments, especially when I can recognize a familiar readers’ username.  Thank you to all of my readers who so kindly take the time to comment.  I always need someone to rant to about my dramas!

And guess what, believe it or not I actually improved!  Recently I looked through some of my older posts and could not help but facepalm and shake my head at my former self.  Out of the 160 or so posts (give or take because I deleted some..) I’ve written I really want to rewrite A LOT of them.  Heheheh.  I think I’m at the point where I can completely spazz out over a favorite OTP (*cough* Love Forward) slowly recap a huge drama (*cough* BBJX) and write up some more brief yet more serious reviews of awesome dramas (*cough* Soldier).

The most obvious change over this year is my shift from recapping to reviewing.  To me, a recap is telling what happened (like a synopsis) but a review is the analysis of what happened/personal opinion.  I’m nowhere near some of the more experienced and talented drama reviewers out there but I’m happy I can now review more than I recap.

So, here I am, 160-ish posts, thousands of screencaps, and lots of comments later, ready to look forward to the 2 year mark!  Thanks to all the drama tea readers!

  • Happy blogging birthday! And congrats on turning one. My site turned 2 this past April and I actually went from doing reviews to recaps. Tho I admit to having no clue as to what I was really going to do when I started.
Here’s wishing you a happy 2nd year ^_^ and thanks for all your recaps & reviews. The are appreciated. 🙂

    • (belated) congrats to you too! Yeah that’s how it was when I first started..I had no clue what I was doing. Hehehehe. Thanks, I also enjoy reading your recaps! 😉

  • happy belated birthday to your blog! your blog is almost the same age as mine! just that mine turned one last march . haha! lol I understand the feeling of looking back at your old posts. it made me wonder…how could I write something like that?! I regret nothing actually~ keep posting, because I do drop by and read your posts, but I don’t watch that many dramas so I can’t comment or anything..still, getting to know about what you think about jdramas/tdramas/cdramas/kdramas is like..my daily dose of drug. hehe.

    oh, I love your big headers! they’re pretty~ :))

    • Thanks! Sometimes I drop by to see how your blog is doing. I love your blog theme, by the way. Unfortunately I don’t really watch kdramas as much so I don’t get around to commenting very often. >.<

  • Congratulations! ^_^ I used to be a silent reader because I was too busy to comment. I remember I found your blog because I wanted to read reviews about Office Girls. And then I read some of your recaps for Bu Bu Jing Xin. As you can see, I have free time now so I can comment more often hehe (I’m on vacation yay).

  • Congratulations 🙂

So happy you are blogging and so happy to have it. First for BBJX and now for Love Forward.

Happy 1st Birthday to your blog.

    Keep writing 🙂

  • Happy Birthday! Happy blogging! I love your Love Forward reviews. I’m a crazed Ai Xing and Tian Xe shipper and so glad I get to enjoy your lovely reactions and get to skip all boring parts that I don’t even want to read about.

  • Oh my, already!
I’m a bit late, but you’ll remember me like that? (wroooong)
    ♥ Happy Blog Birthday ♥
I don’t have a cake to go with it, but I can give you the recipe. :p

Totally relating to how you feel you’ve improved over the months…
    Keep the good work!

Blogging takes hours, commenting takes minutes. Thanks for your comment.
